Job Description: Network Engineer

 This role is for a NOC Engineer to the support the Maxit & BetaNXT products and working out of India with the following responsibilities:

• 3 years of Monitoring/ Maintenance of networks including Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Fortigate, and Palo Alto), VPNs (Cisco and Fortigate), routers (Cisco), switches (Cisco and Arista) and other physical hardware
• Monitoring and escalating/resolving alerts in solarwinds, CTM/drone alerts.
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management.
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
• Handling client Communication and respond to any queries from client. 
• Update Client with the progress of Jobs.
• Initial analysis for batch related issues and escalating to Appropriate team.
• Ensure that all operational responsibilities are performed including monitoring systems and deploying releases.
• IT Service Management exposure. 
• Proactively identify operational risks. Provide short term solutions whilst tracking long term resolution. 
• The work needs to work in 24x7 shifts.

Roles and Responsibility L1 level

• Hands-on experience configuring routing protocols and switching configuration in medium to large enterprise networks.

• Troubleshooting basic switch issues: assigning Vlans, read interface counters, reset interface ports
• New installations of equipment being able to configure basic setup from either manually or by script.
• Troubleshoot basic firewall issues.

• Basic connectivity issues
• Create DCR forms. DCR forms are wiring and mounting equipment into data center.
• Review Packet captures with Wireshark and diagnose basic issues

• Good knowledge of routing and switching within a Cisco infrastructure; Ethernet, VLAN’s, TCP/IP and OSPF/BGP/EIGRP, Cisco DWDM
• To understand the Customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the Customer’s network implementation and support processes and procedures to help in designing a network that is available and sustainable.
• Take responsibility on Service Level Agreement objectives that are being meet according to defined fault priority level.
• 1~2 year’s implementation experience in Data Networking & Network Security and deployment Understanding of networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
• Hands-on network configuration experience with Cisco etc
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Basic level understanding of Cisco Routing and Switch/Data networking skill, including DHCP, IP routing protocols, Subnetting, Wireshark, F5 Load Balancers
